For the past 2 days + 1 morning, we became a foster family for 3 altar boys. For a 3-member family, an additional three members is so awesome. Though I haven’t got the chance to have a real long conversation with them, still, natuwa ako/kami na they stayed with us.
Actually, it’s the little thing that counts. Yung may iba kang nakikinig na boses sa loob ng bahay, yung may mga magmimidnight snacks, yung you have to wait for them to come home even late at night, yung may manghihingi ng tinapay kasi gutom na sila, yung may makikinig ka na nagkkwentuhan sa tabing kwarto mo sa gabi, yung may nanonood ng cartoons, yung paggising mo, may mga tunog ng kutsara’t tinidor sa kainan, yung madami kayo sa isang bahay. It gave me the feeling of having a baby brother once again.
Aside from that, it’s amazing that the reason for the said activity is because they are celebrating St. Dominic’s feast day. We learned that St. Dominic died at the age of 14, just like my brother, Troy. Coincidence? Maybe, this is Troy’s sign to us that he is still there, or I don’t know.
Moreover, it’s been an honor for our family to be included in that said activity. 🙂
